PENSTREP 400 LA is a long-acting injectable antibiotic combining Procaine Penicillin, Benzathine Penicillin, and Dihydrostreptomycin to provide rapid and sustained antibacterial activity. It ensures extended therapeutic coverage with fewer injections, offering strong and reliable control of a wide range of infections while supporting faster recovery, improved appetite, and restored productivity in livestock and companion animals.
Penstrep 400 LA is used for the treatment of bacterial infections in horses, cattle, sheep, goats, dogs and cats caused by microorganisms susceptible to penicillin and/or streptomycin.
Each 1 ml contain
Procaine benzylpenicillin — 100,000 IU
Benzathine benzylpenicillin — 100,000 IU
Dihydrostreptomycin sulphate — 200 mg
Route of Administration: Intramuscular or subcutaneous (dog and cat)
• Recommended dose: 1 ml per 10 kg body weight
• If required, repeat every 48–72 hours depending on severity of symptoms
• Maximum dose at one injection:
– 20 ml in cattle
– 5 ml in sheep and goats
– 2 ml in dogs and cats
