Penicillin is a bactericidal against penicillin-susceptible microorganisms. Streptomycin is an
aminoglycoside antibiotic with bactericidal activity against both gram-negative and some gram
positive bacteria.
Penicillin and aminoglycosides act synergistically. Procaine reduces pain
associated with intramuscular injection. The product is specifically formulated to provide a
prolonged action resulting in sustained antibacterial activity.
Bacterial infections in horses, cattle, swine, sheep, goats, dogs and cats, caused by microorganisms susceptible to penicillin and/or streptomycin.
Contains per ml suspension:
Procain benzylpenicillin ………………….. 100,000 IU
Benzathine benzylpenicillin …………….. 100,000 IU
Dihydrostreptomycin sulphate ………………….. 200 mg
For intramuscular or subcutaneous (dog and cat) administration.
Shake well before use to resuspend.
Recommended dose …………… 1 ml per 10 kg body weight
If required, repeat every 48-72 hours depending on severity of symptoms and clinical response.
The dose volume should not exceed 20 ml in cattle, 5 ml in sheep and goats at anyone injection site.
Store dark and below 25°C. Do not freeze.
After first opening the product should be stored dark and refrigerated (ca. 8°C).
